Lynn Goodman
Lynn Goodman was born in New York City in 1956 and
has spent most of her life there. She received her
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Crafts/Ceramics from Philadelphia
College of Art (now called University of the Arts)
in 1979, and her Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics from
Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1984.
Since
that time Lynn has made her home and her pottery in
Brooklyn, New York. She has exhibited both locally
and nationally, in juried exhibitions and invitationals.
In addition to maintaining her own Web presence (www.lynngoodmanporcelain.com),
she is represented online at www.guild.com.
Lynn is
a long-standing member and president of Brooklyn Potters,
an organization of New York City and tri-state potters
dedicated to educational and charitable work involving
clay, including the "Empty Bowls" project,
a national hunger relief effort.
