Timothy Farrell
Tim discovered his passion and ability for pottery
during grade school. Supported and fostered by wonderful
teachers and friends, Tim has been driven to educate
and expand his talent.
While attending Boston College
on his way to receiving a BA in studio art and philosophy
he began teaching. First he taught in the ceramics
department as an assistant and later as an instructor
and studio hand at The Potters Shop and School. During
a college summer, Tim became involved with the Skidmore
College ceramics studio as a teacher’s assistant
to professor Regis Brody.
After graduating college (2000)
Tim moved to upstate New York, where he established
a studio. He built a
wood fire kiln that was later converted into a gas
kiln (2003). Currently living and working in Brooklyn,
N.Y. Tim is an instructor and manager of The Painted
Pot – throwing studio.
Throughout his time in clay
Tim has taken every opportunity to show his work.
